Here is the 4th and final part of the IZE Yoo Jae Suk Special. Hope you had funny reading them Yoo Jae Suk Special Part 1 - The Noblest of All Entertainer http://dddfanclub.com/topic/9200305/1 Yoo Jae Suk Special Part 2 - From Head To Toe, Yoo Jae Suk's 12 Assets http://dddfanclub.com/topic/9200753/1 Yoo Jae Suk Special Part 3 - Yoo Jae Suk's Ten Commandments http://dddfanclub.com/topic/9201075/1 Written by IZE Chae Ji Eun Translated by DDD Team Source: http://ize.co.kr/articleView.html?no=2014101921227260660 ![]() Ancient Chinese Doctor, Pien Chueh, was praised by people as being able to revive even the dead, although Pien Chueh himself said that “I did not revive the dead, all I did was help people that was obviously going to live.” Not everyone can judge who can be saved. In that regard, Yoo Jae Suk could be considered a great variety show doctor, saving people from death, helping people that have yet to find their wings or those who don’t know how to save themselves. These people obviously have some talent but they only really started to blossom once they were working with Yoo Jae Suk. For this list, we have picked out a few people that have found new life, had their old lives extended and found new life in itself thanks to Yoo Jae Suk. These are Yoo Jae Suk’s 12 disciples. ![]() 1. Park Myung Soo: Like the good shepherd, he shall lead the young Myung Soo with a gentle touch. The Devil’s Son, The Unpredictable Man, the entertainer that could suddenly say something inappropriate and force them to discard any scenes that they happened to be recording. However Yoo Jae Suk is like a trainer, teasing, provoking and helping him in appropriate ways to get the most laughs from this great but also weak man. Park Myung Soo has already acknowledged how important Yoo Jae Suk is in 2008 when he said “There are just two people that I would risk my life for. One is my daughter, the other is Yoo Jae Suk.” “I would be in big trouble without Yoo Jae Suk.” Of course this isn’t just one sided love affair. Yoo Jae Suk also said that Park Myung Soo is the “Mascot of Infinity Challenge” and that he was “Cute and such a beautiful person.” You can’t help but be happy when you see the two together. We’re jealous. Hope they last forever! ![]() 2. Haha: Hey Kid, your faith has been your saviour. If Yoo Jae Suk was Park Myung Soo’s trainer than Haha taught by Yoo Jae Suk. From SBS <X Man> to <Running Man> and <Infinity Challenge>, he stood by Haha, whipping him into shape, teaching him everything he needs to know, coaxing him and comforting. It’s not a far stretch to say that Jae Suk has turned the Kiddie into a respectable entertainer in his own right. Just like Kim Tae Ho PD said, Haha is an entertainer with a mind of Producer. That is why Haha is the first to realise what direction Yoo Jae Suk wants to take in any situation and helps him along the way. During this process he became the 1st disciple of the “Infinity Church of Jae Suk” and gained the character of being his most ardent believer. Haha has claimed that Yoo Jae Suk is one of the great people that have saved Korea and his faith is so strong that you could imagine going around door to door spreading the words of Jae Suk to everyone. “Do you still not believe the miracles of Yoo Jae Suk? You can go anywhere you want if you’re with Yoo Jae Suk. We have one again been touched by the hands of Yoo Jae Suk and how far has those hands have lead us.” Of course most disciples that stay at home on a Saturday night to watch his shows would not doubt this story for even a second. ![]() 3. Noh Hong Chul: He transforms the vast plains into a pond of life and causes water to spring from the desert. From a talented university student to his debut on the cable channel program, <Doctor Noh>, Noh Hong Chul had his first meeting with Yoo Jae Suk on MBC’s <Come to Play>. Noh Hong Chul had first started doing broadcast work for the fun of it, with no stylists or managers to think of. During those days, despite how busy he was with his numerous schedules, Yoo Jae Suk would drive this wet-behind the ears colleague around, waiting around till late at night till his schedule was finished to take him back home. Full of energy and confidence, Hong Chul would sometimes walk a very thin and dangerous line on TV, Yoo Jae Suk instead naturally helped him develop a character known for his youthful energy and interesting behaviour. Yoo Jae Suk was also the one that revealed his more human foibles such as being the “Dol+I, ”his flabby belly and weird pronunciation. Noh Hong Chul has become such an ardent follower of the Infinity Church of Jae Suk that he has pictures of his mentor plastered on his car. However unlike Haha, Noh Hong Chul was taught through a policy of non-interference and encouragement. In this regard we can see that Yoo Jae Suk caters his teaching style to match his pupils. ![]() 4. Jung Jun Ha: Wait and endure this moment for you will be rewarded with life He appeared briefly on “Reckless Challenges” and then became a permanent member of “Infinity Challenge” thanks to the recommendations of Yoo Jae Suk. In 2007, when the Infinity Challenge members were having their fortunes looked up, Jun Ha’s relationship with Jae Suk was described as “Never being helpful to each other and should keep your distance from each other.” They even said that Jung Jun Ha could steal away Yoo Jae Suk’s women and fame, luckily that was never a problem and Yoo Jae Suk still has his family and fame. On the other hand, whenever the extremely timid and easily discouraged Jun Ha would contemplate leaving the show, Yoo Jae Suk would convince his disobedient brother to stay on “Infinity Challenge,” enduring many incidents together. Jung Jun Ha is also rather timid and would get worried and tense whenever he is in charge, showing a cute side to himself. This is probably why Jung Jun Ha, along with Lee Kwang Soo, is endlessly teased and loved by Yoo Jae Suk. In particular, Yoo Jae Suk is particularly happy whenever Jung Jun Ha is feeling victimized. ![]() 5. Lee Kwang Soo: The angels of variety shows blew their trumpets as the pale white giraffe was born into this world. Along with Hong Chul and Haha, he is another variety show powerhouse taught by Jae Suk. Yoo Jae Suk is known for constantly calling up the people he works with, even outside of recordings, to offer than ideas and advice. Likewise, Yoo Jae Suk would call <Running Man’s> variety show rookie, Lee Kwang Soo, multiple times a week to see how he is doing and listen to his concerns. Yoo Jae Suk also helped him form his very clear weak giraffe character by constantly teasing him and chastising him. He also gave him his new nickname “Kwang-(a)vatar.” Yoo Jae Suk knows multiples ways of teasing Kwang Soo and has said that he will use every single one on “Running Man,” so that is something to look forward to. Of course, when Kwang Soo would shake and tremble going under a limbo bar, Jae Suk may seem to be laughing at him but his eye should genuine concern and care. Kwang Soo says that Yoo Jae Suk is “An even better person outside of camera and is like a father.” His faith and respect grows by the day and the amount of disciples following the Infinity Church of Jae Suk grows with each passing day. ![]() 6. Ji Suk Jin: He called “Rise oh brother” and one old man stepped out to the front. The “Jodongari” is a group that consists of Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Yong Man etc. For them, just 500cc of beer is enough to knock all of them out and so they rarely drink, instead it’s group get together for a bunch of guys that just loves and loves to talk. Ji Suk Jin is one of those people that would order a milkshake and a strawberry shake, then he would speak all day. Yoo Jae Suk appears alongside him on “Running Man,” taking care of him and treat him as his senior...actually not really. He would tease him, saying that he is “Weak and unpopular guy” in an effort to give him a character. Yoo Jae Suk, who introduced Ji Suk Jin’s wife to him, once said that “You are not your wife’s ideal style of man,” and during a game he said “I know all the lies you said to your wife over the years,” causing him some rather flustering moments. He may be weak physically but Ji Suk Jin has the wits to match him verbally and would playful play along with him, causing laughs all round. This is the best way of utilizing the extremely talkative Ji Suk Jin in a real variety show. This is why they are so well matched and why we get classics scenes like the Cicada rap. Stuff like this is possible thanks to their long standing relationship. Edited by lordbordem, Nov 18 2014, 03:11 PM.

![]() 7. Kim Jong Kook: I shall personally lead and guide you towards victory. From MBC <Star Survival Life and Enjoy Together>, SBS X Man, Family Outing and Running. Kim Jong Gook is one of those unexpected stars that has worked with Yoo Jae Suk for over 10 years. During the “X Man” days, it was Yoo Jae Suk that would flame the fires of the Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye love line and on Running Man, he would still mention it occassionaly to tease Jong Gook about it. 10 out of 10 times, Kim Jong Kook would get flustered by it and this just makes him want to tease him even more. Thanks to his immense stamina and sporting sense, Yoo Jae Suk would also act as Kim Jong Kook’s rival on Running Man, sometimes getting into alliances, becoming the dominant forces in the process. Kim Jong Gook however will sometimes let his urge for victory get the better of him, pulling down Jae Suk’s pants to raise his stress levels, a sort of cat and mouse relationship. However we also get contrasting scenes such as when they have to do the Pepero game together. His face always looks like it’s smiling but Kim Jong Gook is quick to anger with Yoo Jae Suk constantly acting childishly towards him in a sort of Tom and Jerry style battle. Of course, the two of them are actually very close and Kim Jong Gook sang during Yoo Jae Suk’s wedding. ![]() 8. Seo Taji: He wakes you up from your slumber just as the sun begins to rise His first comeback in 5 years and he had always maintained an air of mysticism about himself. It was a big question as to who would get to Seo Taji first. After much battling between broadcasters, the winner was Yoo Jae Suk. The standard <Happy Together 3> format was replaced with a bare late night snack set and a one on one chat with Yoo Jae Suk and Seo Taji. To help out his quiet and not very talkative guest, Yoo Jae Suk would constantly emphasis that they were born in the same year and thus friends. Rather than a constant stream of conversations, Yoo Jae Suk would instead try to keep the conversation by endlessly asking Seo Taji questions such as “I heard you don’t drink. I don’t drink as well, do you like talking instead,” “Did you sleep last night, how long did you sleep for.” and so on. Yoo Jae Suk’s efforts gradually bore fruit as Seo Taji began to open up, taking out a picture of his daughter of daughter and showing his fatherly side. It’s probably unlikely that Seo Taji could have had such a smooth talk show return if it wasn’t on Yoo Jae Suk’s show. ![]() 9. Kim Young Chul: Friends never stop loving one another while brothers are there to help in times of need Yoo Jae Suk once jokingly described him as “A tiring junior colleague, I want to see him when he’s not around but when I do see him I regret it.” It shows just how close he is to him. His main talent is voice imitation and he sometimes appears overwhelming due to his exaggerated expressions and voice but Kim Young Chul is able to do reasonably well on <Happy Together> because Yoo Jae Suk would play around with him and help organise his thoughts. Compare that to <Infinity Challenge> where he would get the occasional criticism due to his overbearing gags that would get worse the harder he tried on specials like “Ugly Friend” and “Lonely Friend” but still as soon as Yoo Jae Suk came to his house, we should off his signature donkey laugh and greet him with a Lee Yong Ja voice imitation. At the very least we should look fondly at his passion for work. In either case, his “Secret Water/Love Affair” parody skit with Yoo Jae Suk showed amazing chemistry between two. It’s clear that two of them are definitely inseparable. ![]() 10. Defconn: Your beginnings may have been humble but your future shall be prosperous. After appearing, rather randomly, on the Infinity Challenge <Speed Rowing> special, where he breathed out heavily in exhaustion, he then continued to appear on specials such as “Cancelled in case of rain,” “Gag University 101,” “Ugly Friend special” and “2013 Calendar Delivery,” cementing himself as one the juniors that Yoo Jae suk cherishes. In particular, during the “Ugly Friend Special,” picking out Defconn along with Kim Young Chul and Kim Jae Dong was a way to introduce a new face to variety shows and it shows Jae Suk’s talents in devising new and interesting groupings. Gil would worry about whether Defconn was trying to steal his spot but Defconn would strongly deny it, saying that they should think of him as “a Spare Tire.” Yoo Jae Suk also said during the calendar delivery special that “Defconn doesn’t want to be a permanent member.” Afterward, Defconn did become a fixed member on “1 Night, 2 Days,” and along with Jung Hyung Don, Yoo Jae Suk will be one of those people that Defconn will eternally be thankful for. ![]() 11. Kim Jae Dong: You, with such a poor face, you shall have all the luck in the world and the heavens shall be yours It’s already well known since the <Happy Together - Tray Karaoke> days that Kim Jae Dong was particularly well loved by Yoo Jae Suk. Of course even back then they would engage in small back talk like “The authority on Lingerie shows,” “He is completely immersed in the internet these days,” asking Kim Jae Dong if he was going to bathe when he had already done so or telling Jae Dong in a public bath that he should “Sell anything that he wasn’t using.” Like this, he would use Kim Jae Dong occasionally for self depreciating gags. Not only this, a few years ago when Kim Jae Dong was being ignored by various broadcasters, Yoo Jae Suk would constantly invite him to his programs. Even now, Yoo Jae Suk would invite Kim Jae Dong to Infinity Challenge during the Chuseok holidays as he knows Kim Jae Dong pretended to be overseas to avoid going down to his home town. When Kim Jae Dong said it would clash with his next SBS <Healing Camp> recording, Jae Suk would jokingly say “You could have worked for 2 days in the week!,” emphasising his character as the lonely vagabond. While he would also say that Kim Jae Dong’s face is like “A intersection without its traffic lights, a complete mess,” but Yoo Jae Suk is the only one that really shows the fact that Kim Jae Dong is more than just a glorified quote machine. ![]() 12. Kwon Oh Joong: You have already been forgiven for your crimes of obscenity They first established their relation on <Come To Play> “True Man Show,” which continued on to <Infinity Challenge> and also on KBS’s <I’m A Man>. Kwon Oh Joong would happily talk about 19+ stories without the slightest hesitation and make erotic jokes any chance he gets. Yoo Jae Suk would check all of this before hand to ensure it doesn’t cause any incidents on air, acting as a safety barrier for him. When Kwon Oh Joong starts talking about sexual stamina, Jae Suk would quickly change the subject and he would pretend to have not heard what was being said. However on one hand, by being the first to react to Kwon Oh Joong’s erotic stories, getting quickly flustered and saying stuff like “What exactly is it you want to say” has the paradoxical effect of making the conversation more interesting and is a way of cementing Kwon Oh Joong’s character as a master of sexual jokes. When Kwon Oh Joong talked about the time when he was hugging his wife in a car and then was caught by police, Jae Suk would ask “Were you really not doing anything in there? Really?” By asking such questions, Yoo Jae Suk would open up a world of imagination for a comment that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Edited by lordbordem, Nov 18 2014, 03:10 PM.
