Oh? I exclude him because hes not in the cheer squad. x) But i would be so pleased if its indeed him. I kinda miss him now that you mention that lord. Lol. So maybe we'd see jaesuk's beloved other option dongsaengs too getting barged and forced to follow whatever ic decided to do on them then? x)) ....now i hope its really kim jaedong. Even his presence is funny. |

ahahahahahah great episode this week and I got the Jae Dong house guess right =D That section was hilarious. They just rock up at Jae Dong's house, knowing that he's in Brazil at the time. They then shift over to Brazil and Jae Dong is with the Brazil team and they just tell him "Yeah we're going to use your house" and Jae Dong is just staring at them, telling them that they're crazy. Absolute best section from that is Spoiler: click to toggle

Kim Jae Dong presence is really gold, even live broadcast of the match manage to pick him up among all those other korean supporters in the stadium. Too bad the IC team didn't dress up enough (and also they reactions weren't good enough) to be pick up by live broadcast. They should dress up more if they're going to cheer inside the stadium. Hopefully with all the members there they'll make a better cheering. |

I'm sorry to say, but for me this was one of the most boring episodes ever. The Brazil team didn't really do much - I was expecting them to cheer more, interact with the audience, talk more amongst themselves etc. I think it was a bad idea to keep NHC and JJH+JHD separated during the game, although maybe that was a production necessity. At least the parts at Je Dong's house were mildly funny (not enough to validate the given screen time, though). |

I actually had to agree. The first half of the episode was good. The part with Jae Dong in the hotel room was my favorite of the whole episode. So hilarious. I can't believe they showed 20-30 minutes of reaction footage only. Despite the fact that I actually love watching reaction videos, I found it so boring to watch. I hope they found a better way to showcase cheerleading/support of the Korea-Algeria match. And probably this episode shows again another reason why IC is weak when they are separated in different countries. It's sad to say this, but despite this being a cheerleading special if they actually spent more footage around their time in Brazil instead of just the matches the episodes would be a little more interesting. It's pretty much tame although their support and positivity is touching. |

Gil's Cameos

In hindsight, since so much of the entertainment value of the special hinged on how well the Korean team would fare in the WC, it does make you wonder whether the PD team had thought about the very possible scenario of South Korea not making it to the knockout rounds, or worse, not winning a single match. As we now know, the team leaves Brasil with 1 match drawn and 2 lost. Not a good showing by any means. I concur with a previous poster that this ep was very lacking. Kanu made some good points on the episode as well. Even though NHC did an admirable job in documenting behind-the-scenes, it did not make very good TV. Ultimately, it seems like IC had not thought out this WC special very thoroughly but were unfortunate to have Korea perform like they did. |

I think a major issue was the issue they had with Gil. The side effect of the Gil crisis was a 2 week special they had to scrap completely (The Detective Special) They had to completely start from scratch for the cheerleading (Song + Dance) Pre-recorded footage for early specials also had to be heavily edited (The earlier cheerleading stuff + KSF) There also seems to be some last minute scheduling conflicts because it seemed liked both Jae Suk, Haha, Lizzy and Sang Ryul had to delay/leave the project entirely at close to the last minute. Not saying all of this excuses what was quite an awkward episode (And the next one is even worse) but I think it really was the best the staff could manage given the situation. I suspect most other World Cup special variety shows are going to be facing similar issues as well later this week |
