oh God, thank you so much for translating and organizing all detail information about this case. the hell one Allkpop seriously makes me angry now because of their "lack of information" news and headline like ""Leessang kicks tenant out on streets, family forced to sue in order to feed children!" damn, it's seriously makes a bad image for LeeSsang especially for those who doesn't know what was really happen. again, thank you so much for this information. i agree how Gil is actually well-organized on his real life than what we usually saw / his image on variety. and everytime Gary tweeting about some-accident on LeeSsang very emotionally without any explanation it just make me very worried. and i dont really korean-news-site like soompi or allkpop anymore when i often found their news are lack of information. viewing the case, it should be a problem between the store owner and the past building owner and Leessang shouldn't be involved. and what the hell is "verbal contract" ? how could you run a longterm business without a written contract? it will never valid on the court. i believe Leessang could win this case on court. it's a common things on every country : people always use "celebrity" image to rise up their simple case to gain attention on public. no matter how non-sense and unrelated their case, if they can bring one name of celebrity it must become a highlite everywhere. ![]() i hope it will over soon, and public could really see the truth. |

Just an update on the Leessang Building Issue The Seoul Central Courts have ruled in favour of Leessang and have ruled that Leessang is to reimburse the lessee the total of approximately USD$45,000 and for the lessee to leave the building. In case the lessee doesn't leave the building then the amount that Leessang has to reimburse gets reduced according to how many days it takes them to leave (Calculated at current monthly lease of $3000) The Courts have also dismissed an appeal by the lessee regarding the constitutionality of the Lease Protection Act In his judgement, Judge Oh stated that "It cannot be stated that the plantiff's property rights have been violated just because they were not eligible under the Lease Protection Act" and that "When we consider that the eligibility for protection (Under the act) was for the purposes of protecting the financially and socially vulnerable then they were not being discriminated based on baseless grounds." It's still a lot smaller than the initial $300,000+ they were looking for and essentially this new amount just covers the amount required for them to move out. It's even smaller than the initial amount that Leessang offered during arbitration. So essentially being greedy doesn't pay off |
